About Christopher

Curiosity is the
through line.

I like figuring things out—and helping other people find their way through the difficult parts.

My career has moved through software support, running a design studio, university systems development, accessibility consulting, and enterprise team leadership. Across those settings, I’ve kept coming back to the relationship between people and the technology they use.

Most recently, I led accessibility for Oracle’s Redwood Design System and Application Platform. Before that, I worked on Oracle’s public-facing websites, managed consulting and training teams at Level Access, and provided development services at Deque.

Technical work is people work.

I enjoy developer troubleshooting, helpdesk-style support, training, technical project support, and UX accessibility consulting. Some of the most useful work happens in a conversation: working through a stubborn interaction, explaining why something behaves differently with a screen reader, or helping a team decide what to do next.

I’ve worked with people across design, engineering, research, QA, product management, sales, and support. My background as a developer, teacher, and business owner helps me understand the different pressures each person brings to a project.

A broad foundation

I hold degrees in psychology and business administration from the University of Michigan–Dearborn, with a marketing concentration and coursework in computer information systems. That mix complements the technical side of my work: understanding behavior, communicating clearly, and keeping the purpose of a project in view.

Learning beyond the job

I’ve organized educational and networking events with San Diego Accessibility & Inclusive Design and mentored a nonprofit website team through Knowbility’s Accessible Internet Rally.

Teaching has also taken me beyond the usual workplace. In 2009, I volunteered as a teacher and technology consultant at Seametrey Children’s Village in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, providing computer instruction and technical training.

I speak about accessibility, keyboard interaction, team workflows, and disability bias in AI. Explore my speaking and teaching.

What’s next

I’m based in San Diego and exploring roles where I can combine hands-on technical contribution with practical support for the people building a product.
